Organic Winery

Blessed with year-round sunshine, Ansitz Waldgries is situated in the heart of Santa Magdalena, a rustic area just north of Bolzano. Once owned by the clergy, the wine here has been produced with dedication for 700 years. The cantina is massive and the wines age underground in a perfect environment amidst antique paintings and sculptures. In recent years, the winery has started to work produce organic wines, "Wine growing has a lot to do with tradition [...] handing down from one generation to the next. [...] To that extent there is a message in every bottle of wine, communicating a deeply rooted passion for wine growing and the tradition of a family" - Christian Plattner.
